Bryn Nelson Smith (born August 11, 1955 in Marietta, Georgia, U.S.) is a former professional baseball player who pitched in the Major Leagues from 1981-1993. Smith made his Major League debut with Montreal. He had a pair of 5-game winning streaks in 1985 and was picked Expo Player of the Month for July by Montreal baseball writers after a 3-1 record and 1.74 ERA. Smith attended Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California where he was an All Western Conference Selection. He takes his first name from the initials of his grandfather, Baxter Robert Young Nisbet. Bryn is the St. Joseph’s High School Freshman Baseball coach.
